Account Management

Edit Your Profile

  1. Click on your avatar in the top right corner.
  2. Select "Profile" from the dropdown menu.
  3. On your profile page, click the "Edit Profile" button.
  4. You can update:
    • Display Name - How your name appears on posts
    • Bio - A short description about yourself
    • Avatar - Upload a profile picture
  5. Click "Save Changes" to update your profile.

Change Your Password

  1. Go to Profile → Edit Profile.
  2. Scroll down to the Password section.
  3. Enter your current password.
  4. Enter your new password (at least 8 characters).
  5. Confirm your new password.
  6. Click "Update Password".

Forgot Your Password?

  1. Go to the Login page.
  2. Click "Forgot password?" link below the login form.
  3. Enter your email address and click "Send Reset Link".
  4. Check your inbox for a password reset email from LFranca.
  5. Click the "Reset Password" button in the email.
  6. Enter your new password (at least 8 characters) and confirm it.
  7. Click "Reset Password" to save your new password.
  8. You'll see a success message - click "Sign In" to login with your new password.

Note: The reset link expires in 1 hour and can only be used once. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or request a new link.

Export Your Data

You can download all your content at any time. Your export includes:

  • Posts - All your posts as Markdown files with metadata
  • Images - All images you've uploaded
  1. Go to Profile → Edit Profile.
  2. Scroll down to the Data & Privacy section.
  3. Click "Export My Data".
  4. A ZIP file will download containing your posts and images.

Note: Image URLs in your Markdown files are automatically converted to relative paths, so your exported content works offline.

Deactivate Your Account

Need a break? Deactivation temporarily hides your account without deleting anything.

What happens when you deactivate:

  • Your profile shows as unavailable to others
  • Your posts are hidden from feeds and search
  • Your data remains intact and unchanged
  • You can reactivate at any time by simply logging in
  1. Go to Profile → Edit Profile.
  2. Scroll down to the Data & Privacy section.
  3. Click "Deactivate Account".
  4. Confirm in the dialog that appears.

To reactivate: Simply log in with your email and password. Your account will be restored immediately.

Delete Your Account

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We recommend exporting your data first.

What gets deleted:

  • Your profile and account information
  • All your posts
  • All your uploaded images
  • Comments without replies are deleted completely
  • Comments with replies are anonymized (content replaced with "Perspective withdrawn")
  1. Go to Profile → Edit Profile.
  2. Scroll down to the Data & Privacy section (Danger Zone).
  3. Click "Delete Account".
  4. Read the warning carefully and confirm your decision.

Warning: This action is irreversible. Once deleted, your account and content cannot be recovered.
